AKTA PENDIRIAN YAYASAN GMIM Ds.A.Z.R.WENAS.
2) SURAT KEPUTUSAN MENTERI PENDIDIKAN NASIONAL RI. NO:220/D/O/2007 TANGGAL 29 NOPEMBER 2007 TENTANG ALIH KELOLA UNIVERSITAS KRISTEN INDONESIA TOMOHON DARI YAYASAN PERGURUAN TINGGI KRISTEN GMIM DI TOMOHON KEPADA YAYASAN GMIM Ds.A.Z.R.WENAS DI TOMOHON

Universitas Kristen Indonesia Tomohon di singkat UKIT didirikan oleh Gereja Masehi Injili di Minahasa pada tahun 1965. Dua tokoh utama yang memprakarsai berdirinya UKIT atas nama Gereja Masehi Injili di Minahasa adalah Domine A.Z.R.Wenas (Ketua Sinode GMIM Pertama ) dan Prof. Dr. Med. Samuel Johanes Warouw (Rektor UKIT Pertama )
Awalnya UKIT bernaung di bawah Badan Hukum Penyelenggara Yayasan Perguruan Tinggi Kristen GMIM (YPTK GMIM), tetapi kini bernaung di bawah YAYASAN GMIM Ds.A.Z.R. WENAS, sesuai dengan Pengesahan Menteri Hukum dan Ham RI dan Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional RI tersebut di atas.
UKIT, dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikannya, di bawah pembinaan, pengendalian, dan pengawasan Depertemen Pendidikan Nasional RI melalui KOPERTIS WILAYAH IX Sulawesi dan Jemaat GMIM sebagai pemilik melalui Badan Pekerja Sinode GMIM dibawah pimpinan Rektor Pdt. DR. HEIN ARINA, MTh.
